MEGT is very proud to congratulate one of our teachers Miodrag Damjanac (Milli) for being named the 2015 Teacher/Trainer of the Year in Hospitality Management.
Milli received this honour at last night’s Tourism, Hospitality and Catering Institute of Australia Teacher/Trainer of the Year awards in Sydney. The national industry awards acknowledge excellence in Vocational Educational and Training (VET) and were open to all trainers currently employed in the VET sector in a Registered Training Organisation in Australia.

Over last 8 years, Milli has developed a sound knowledge of the VET sector and enjoys teaching and training especially within the hospitality industry. He has also worked across a variety of hospitality establishments including Sydney’s 5-star hotels, as well as elite reception venues and restaurants, and this experience has given him a broader understanding of the industry and enhanced his hospitality skills.
“My primary reason for entering the teaching/training profession was that I wanted to be part of the team developing a healthy hospitality force by teaching the participants proper industry skills from the very beginning,” explained Milli when asked where his passion for teaching hospitality began.
