MEGT Institute has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with St. Paul College of Makati, Philippines, a Catholic education institution that provides preschool, elementary, junior high school and senior high school education.

MEGT Institute provides training, assessment, and credentials in vocational education and training, as well as English language training through ABILITY English.

As part of this collaboration, MEGT Institute and St. Paul College will work together on:

  • Curriculum development consultancy
  • “Train-the-trainer” professional development programs
  • Mutual recognition of programs – eventually allowing St. Paul College’s students to obtain credit recognition for their local qualifications while they study at MEGT Institute to develop the essential skills needed to have a competitive edge when entering the global market
  • Study tours

The areas currently under consideration for this program are Early Childhood Education and Care and English language, and this is a wonderful opportunity for MEGT Institute teachers to learn from their Philippines counterparts in these fields.

MEGT Institute Australia has also signed Education Cooperation Agreements with Progressive College of Dublin and Portobello Institute of Dublin, Ireland, allowing Irish students to obtain credit recognition for their local qualifications while studying at MEGT Institute in Australia.

Portobello Institute and Progressive College are registered colleges providing vocational courses and programs in Ireland and the agreements are an important step in the relationship between the institutions and will serve as a foundation for future collaboration.

The collaboration will mean:

  • An Articulation Pathway Program that allows Irish students to obtain credit recognition for their local qualifications while studying at MEGT Institute in Australia. This experience will help students develop skills and prepare for the global job market
  • “Train-the-trainer” professional development programs
  • Study tours

The areas currently under consideration are Early Childhood Education and Care. MEGT Institute teachers will learn from their Irish counterparts, and there are already plans to facilitate ‘two-way’ learning programs between the two organisations.

MEGT Institute would like to sincerely thank the teams from Portobello Institute and Progressive College for making these agreements possible, as well as the team at St. Paul College of Makati and the St. Paul College School Directress Sr. Anabel de la Cruz.

“These are exciting initiatives that will have very positive outcomes for students in the Philippines, Ireland and in Australia,” Thorsten Wilhelm, International Client Relations Manager at MEGT Institute says.
