The Queensland Government has recently established an independent Training Ombudsman as part of its plan to focus on quality training and the vocational educational and training (VET) sector in Queensland.
The Training Ombudsman has been created to provide a free, confidential, and independent service to review and resolve enquiries and complaints about the VET system. Any issues will be reviewed and the Ombudsman will either refer the complaint to the appropriate agency or mediate between the parties involved to reach a solution.
The Training Ombudsman can also offer free and impartial advice about the rights and responsibilities of apprentices, trainees, students and employers.
